Pro bono tenant-rights lawyer needed for Mei's case in Kyoto
Mei is facing a debt-collection lawsuit I believe is invalid and can't afford a lawyer; a tenant-rights lawyer willing to review the case for free could make the difference.

I'm facing a debt-collection lawsuit I believe is invalid, with a hearing on November. I earn too much to qualify for legal aid on paper, but not nearly enough to pay a lawyer's retainer.
I'm looking for a qualified tenant-rights lawyer licensed in Kyoto who might be able to review my documents, prepare me for the hearing, or take the case pro bono or on a reduced fee.
I've organized my documents chronologically, and I'll share them with the lawyer who agrees to help. I can travel to your office in Kyoto or meet online.
I understand that the time of a lawyer is valuable, and I'm deeply grateful for any help or for suggestions of organizations that could assist.
Glad we found this place.

Hope you get there. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Boulogne-Billancourt
a colleague of mine might know someone for this in Kyoto. I'll ask around and let you know
