Praveen's stomach cancer treatment fund
4 rounds of treatment are planned at New Delhi University Hospital; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.
🇮🇳 India835 views
Praveen was diagnosed with stomach cancer in November. The oncology team at New Delhi University Hospital has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in February. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Praveen is 46, worked as a shop owner until November, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to New Delhi University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,850 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,150
• Scans and lab work: $185
• Transport to New Delhi University Hospital: $180
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $110
• Household costs while unable to work: $225
Thanks for reading all this.

Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Thinking of New Delhi.
Good luck, Vignesh. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Greetings from Sacramento.
Best of luck, Vignesh. Looking forward to the next update. Put this on a community board in Abuja this morning. All the best.
Wishing you the best. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
