Plant 2,800 native trees around the Unity hillside in Nottingham
Help us clean and replant the Unity hillside before the November planting window closes.
🇬🇧 England, United Kingdom948 views
The Unity hillside has been used as an informal dump for years. This August, 120 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 153 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the district council, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
We'll post planting day photos and a count of every sapling planted.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Signage and educational materials: $260
• Waste removal and skip hire: $790
• Tools and protective gear: $450
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too. All the best.
Rooting for you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Love from Mangaluru.
