İpek, my wife, passed away on 6 September after a long fight with kidney disease. She was 54 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $950 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 20 September.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want İpek to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program.
Where the $950 goes:
• Funeral home services and casket: $820
• Transport of the deceased: $75
• Memorial gathering for the family: $55
