Pioneer Park needs a youth football pitch - Risa's neighborhood project

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Pioneer Park, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $2,450. It will serve about 260 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $2,450 goes: • Materials: $1,800 • Permits and inspections: $90 • Safety equipment and signage: $210 • Tools hire and delivery: $350 Thanks for reading all this.
