Phương received an eviction notice - help us catch up on rent
A termination letter arrived last week. Phương needs $600 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Hải Phòng.

Following a long illness in the family, I fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Friday a termination letter was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $600.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by June, we must leave.
I've 4 children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working weekend shifts, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $600 goes:
• Rent arrears (4 months): $350
• Late fees and court costs: $50
• Utilities in arrears: $40
• First month of rent as a buffer: $160
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Thinking of you, Phương. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out
Thinking of you and your family. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
Rooting for you. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Take care.
