Slamet is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an electrical engineering diploma at Jakarta University, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $350. The registrar has said Slamet can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Slamet has a distinction average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Slamet would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Slamet isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Jakarta University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
