Alok is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an agriculture degree at Bhopal University, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $350.
The registrar has said Alok can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Alok has a distinction average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Alok would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Alok isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $350 goes:
• Exam and lab fees: $15
• Final term tuition: $270
• Textbooks and materials: $65
Thanks for being kind about this.

Sending strength, Nisha. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Wish I lived closer to Dodoma so I could bring a meal. Love from Aurangabad
Rooting for you, Nisha. Hope you get there. God bless.
So sorry you're going through this, Nisha. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. Put this on a community board in Fortaleza this morning. Take care.
