Natalia is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an electrical engineering diploma at Brooklyn Community College, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,000.
The registrar has said Natalia can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Natalia has a 3.8 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Natalia would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Natalia isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Brooklyn Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.

• Exam and lab fees: $180
• Final term tuition: $1,950
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,870
