Nagpur landslide relief - the Marketplace district
After the landslide, families in the Marketplace district need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.
🇮🇳 Nagpur, Maharashtra, India527 views
The landslide hit the Marketplace district on 16 July. My home was one of 55 damaged, and 5 families are still in temporary shelter at the sports club.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $850 goes:
• Food parcels for displaced families: $160
• Clean water and purification supplies: $165
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $185
• Tools and labor for repairs: $340
With deep gratitude,
Jay

Hope it all works out, Jay. I hope things turn around soon. Love from Lahore.
Praying for you. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. God bless.
you're not alone, Jay. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
