My taxi: Hiroshi's only way to earn a living
Without my taxi Hiroshi can't work; a $1,400 repair would put him back on the road.

I make my living with my taxi. 12 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,400. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• transmission replacement (parts): $890
• Labor charges: $175
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $220
• Towing and inspection: $115
Thanks for reading all this.

thinking of you, Hiroshi. Hope you get there. We're a small family in Lahore but we're thinking of you. Greetings from Lahore!
Thinking of you. Small businesses are the heart of Yokohama. Hope you're open again soon. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
