My school-run minibus: Leo's only way to earn a living
Without my school-run minibus Leo can't work; a $300 repair would put him back on the road.

I make my living with my school-run minibus. 3 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $300. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my 1 children. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $300 goes:
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $50
• gearbox replacement (parts): $190
• Labor charges: $60
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Sending good thoughts, Leo. Shared this with my family. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it
Good luck, Leo. It takes guts to ask. Well done.
You're not alone, Leo. It takes guts to ask. Well done. All the best.
So sorry you're going through this, Leo. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I have a 7 year old who wants to send good wishes too. All the best.
Good luck, Leo. Small businesses are the heart of Bacolod. Hope you're open again soon. We're a small family in Latina but we're thinking of you
