I make my living with my school-run minibus. 3 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $450. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $450 goes: • gearbox replacement (parts): $230 • Labor charges: $100 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $95 • Towing and inspection: $25 Thank you for reading my story.

Updates from Emilio

  1. Update from Ciudad de México: the plan for gearbox replacement is now scheduled. We're at 26% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  2. We're at 13% thanks to 3 of you. I made the first payment toward labor charges. More news soon.

  3. Thank you all. We're at 6% now ($28). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts.
