My pickup: Emilia's only way to earn a living
Emilia drives for a living in Birmingham, and a broken clutch assembly has stopped all income for 6 weeks.

I make my living with my pickup. 6 weeks ago the clutch assembly failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,100. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• clutch assembly replacement (parts): $830
• Towing and inspection: $90
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $180
If you're reading this, thank you.

you're not alone, Emilia. Looking forward to the next update. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from London.
Best of luck, Emilia. Hope the shop reopens soon. Put this on a community board in Columbus this morning. Greetings from Columbus.
