My delivery van: Megan's only way to earn a living
Megan's my delivery van is Megan's only source of income and needs an engine head gasket replacement costing $1,300.
🇦🇺 Australia1,206 views
I make my living with my delivery van. 5 weeks ago the engine head gasket failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,300. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $1,300 goes:
• engine head gasket replacement (parts): $710
• Labor charges: $220
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $310
• Towing and inspection: $60
Every share and every dollar helps.

thinking of you, Megan. Hope the shop reopens soon. Don't give up. Take care
Hang in there, Megan. Shared this with my family. My neighbor in Hồ Chí Minh City donated after I showed her your page!
so sorry you're going through this, Megan. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. All the best.
Wishing you the best. This could happen to any of us. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Love from Surat.
thinking of you and your family, Megan. I hope things turn around soon. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out.
Best of luck. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from Nashik.
