My delivery van: Josiah's only way to earn a living
Without my delivery van Josiah can't work; a $1,900 repair would put him back on the road.

I make my living with my delivery van. 12 weeks ago the fuel pump failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,900. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $1,900 goes:
• fuel pump replacement (parts): $1,500
• Labor charges: $115
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $110
• Towing and inspection: $175
With deep gratitude,
Josiah

Sending good thoughts, Josiah. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. My neighbor in Southampton donated after I showed her your page. Take care.
