Mobility fund: stair-climbing aid for Theodore in Liverpool
Help Theodore get a stair-climbing aid so He can go to school independently.
🇬🇧 United Kingdom1,578 views
Theodore lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at Liverpool General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $3,800.
His current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Theodore could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $3,800 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $3,250
• Fitting and training sessions: $155
• Delivery and set-up: $140
• First-year servicing plan: $255
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Gave what I could, wish it was more. I went through something like this 13 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings.
can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Liverpool
Sharing the link is the biggest thing. And if you know anything about stair-climbing aid, advice is welcome too. Fair thing to want to know.
Hope things get better soon, Derek. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
Hope you get there. I have a 8 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Take care.
Stay strong, Derek. This could happen to any of us. Put this on a community board in Kinondoni this morning. Greetings from Kinondoni.
wishing Theodore a smooth procedure and a full recovery. I hope October is when things finally get easier.
Hope the doctors have good news. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day!
