Volunteers wanted: Nuria's yard after the storm
Fallen branches and overgrowth are blocking Nuria's path; a few hours of help would make a big difference.

I'm 74 and I have lived in this house in Ciudad de México for 41 years. After the storm in August, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of arthritis.
The council has told me it will be six weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
Thank you for reading my story.

Take care. Shared it with a few friends. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.
You're not alone. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I'm in social work myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you!
