Mobility fund: stair-climbing aid for Hetal in New Delhi
A stair-climbing aid would give Hetal independence - we're $800 away.
🇮🇳 New Delhi, Delhi, India1,156 views
Hetal lives with profound hearing loss. The occupational therapist at the New Delhi Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $800.
Her current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Hetal could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $800 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $730
• First-year servicing plan: $40
• Delivery and set-up: $30
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
