She has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,850. The registrar has said Janet can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Janet has a 3.9 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Janet would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Janet isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the the Auckland Institute of Technology bursar's office.
