Mobility fund: prosthetic leg for Peyton in Liverpool
Peyton needs a prosthetic leg that the health system won't fund; the cost is $7,050.

I live with a spinal cord injury. My occupational therapist at the Liverpool Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $7,050.
My current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 5 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $7,050 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $6,500
• Fitting and training sessions: $260
• Delivery and set-up: $145
• First-year servicing plan: $145
Glad we found this place.
