São Paulo
Davi lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the São Paulo Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,600. His current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 3 weeks. With the right equipment Davi could speak with the people around him. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $2,600 goes: • powered wheelchair: $2,400 • Fitting and training sessions: $95 • Delivery and set-up: $45 • First-year servicing plan: $60 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Bruno
