Michail needs a commercial oven to reopen a neighborhood bakery

Michail has run a neighborhood bakery for twelve years; a storm that collapsed the roof destroyed the equipment, and $1,250 will put it back on its feet.

Thessaloniki
For twelve years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Thessaloniki. In January, a storm that collapsed the roof took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go. Where the $1,250 goes: • Replacing a commercial oven: $680 • Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $280 • Shop repairs and licensing: $110 • Working capital for the first month: $180 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Michail

sending love. Gave what I could, wish it was more. After 15 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care

It's all in the list in the story. replacing a commercial oven is the big one at $680, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Thanks for asking.

sending good thoughts, Michail. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
