Olga's a partial thyroidectomy can't wait - please help us cover the bill
A scheduled a partial thyroidectomy in June is out of reach without help covering $1,600 of the cost.

In March I was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect. My surgeon at Zaporizhzhia Community Hospital recommended a partial thyroidectomy, and I have been placed on the schedule for June. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $2,650, and after what the public health scheme will pay, I'm still $1,600 short.
Doctors at Zaporizhzhia Community Hospital told me an aortic valve defect will get worse without a partial thyroidectomy. I work as a retail assistant, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $2,650 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a retail assistant have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 5 weeks. I'll not be able to climb stairs during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $1,600 goes:
• Hospital stay (4 nights): $680
• Physiotherapy sessions: $65
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $150
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $660
• Post-operative medication: $45
Glad we found this place.

Thinking of you and your family, Olga. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Blessings.
Thanks for sharing this, Olga. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier
