Lotus Park needs a skate park - Qasim's neighborhood project

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Lotus Park, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $700. It will serve about 182 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $700 goes: • Materials: $570 • Safety equipment and signage: $20 • Tools hire and delivery: $110 Thanks for reading all this.
