Rides to dialysis three times a week for Ezra in San Diego

A rota of drivers to San Diego General Hospital would keep Ezra on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Ezra has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to San Diego General Hospital alone. After a minor stroke, Ezra can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 26 km each way. Ezra is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

thinking of you and your family, Christopher. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
