Lina's final semester of an electrical engineering diploma in Mecca

Lina is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an electrical engineering diploma at Mecca State College, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,750. The registrar has said Lina can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Lina has a first-class average, and a department head has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Lina would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Lina isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Mecca State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $1,750 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $1,450 • Textbooks and materials: $195 • Exam and lab fees: $105 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
