Lia has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to the Bekasi Kidney Centre alone. After an eyesight problem, Lia can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 35 km each way. Lia is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Thanks for being kind about this.

Best of luck, Lestari. I hope things turn around soon. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. God bless.

    • Praying for you, Lestari. Hope this works out for you.

      • Gave what I could, wish it was more. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Bekasi.

        • thinking of you. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I went through something like this 10 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings
