Let's build a youth football pitch together in Reading
A community-led a youth football pitch at the Lotus health centre yard that will serve 233 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Lotus health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $3,300.
It will serve about 233 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,300 goes:
• Materials: $1,900
• Permits and inspections: $350
• Safety equipment and signage: $540
• Tools hire and delivery: $510

The list at the bottom is the whole picture. materials is the biggest at $1,900. Thanks, that means a lot.
