ACL reconstruction for Esther: covering what insurance won't

Esther was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in July. The surgeon at Lagos Regional Medical Center recommended ACL reconstruction, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,350, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $1,000 short.
my wife has been in and out of Lagos Regional Medical Center since July. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,350 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Esther struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Esther won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
