Pretoria
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Jacaranda Park, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $200. It will serve about 360 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $200 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $90 • Permits and inspections: $75 • Safety equipment and signage: $35 Every share and every dollar helps. - Thabo

Is there anything that isn't money that would help Thabo?

Sharing the link is the biggest thing. And if you know anything about tools hire and delivery, advice is welcome too. Thanks for asking.

Keep going. Shared this with my family. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Blessings
