Let's build a youth football pitch together in Newcastle upon Tyne
Volunteers in Newcastle upon Tyne are raising $1,400 for a youth football pitch at Union Primary School.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Union Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $1,400.
It will serve about 566 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $330
• Permits and inspections: $115
• Materials: $955
With deep gratitude,
Rubel
