Let's build a youth football pitch together in Hyderabad
A community-led a youth football pitch at the old Acacia bus depot that will serve 215 neighbors.
Anywhere in the world890 views
For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Acacia bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $250.
It will serve about 215 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $250 goes:
• Materials: $140
• Permits and inspections: $25
• Safety equipment and signage: $50
• Tools hire and delivery: $35
Glad we found this place.
