Düsseldorf

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Jacaranda Park, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $2,600. It will serve about 336 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $2,600 goes: • Materials: $1,750 • Permits and inspections: $300 • Safety equipment and signage: $300 • Tools hire and delivery: $250 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Sending strength, Sophia. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from Macon.
