Let's build a skate park together in Bacoor

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity community hall, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $90, and the remaining cost is $750. It will serve about 367 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $750 goes: • Materials: $590 • Permits and inspections: $70 • Safety equipment and signage: $40 • Tools hire and delivery: $50 I hope life is good to you. - Trisha
