Lotus Primary School needs a rainwater harvesting system - Thanasis's neighborhood project
A community-led a rainwater harvesting system at Lotus Primary School that will serve 275 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Lotus Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $1,350.
It will serve about 275 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• Materials: $880
• Permits and inspections: $90
• Safety equipment and signage: $125
• Tools hire and delivery: $255
Every share and every dollar helps.
Updates from Thanasis
Thank you all. We're at 9% now ($125). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward tools hire and delivery. - Thanasis
Update from Athens: I met with the suppliers and confirmed the amounts. We're at 1% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
