Let's build a rainwater harvesting system together in Kanpur
Volunteers in Kanpur are raising $700 for a rainwater harvesting system at the old Pioneer bus depot.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Pioneer bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $700.
It will serve about 161 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $700 goes:
• Materials: $520
• Permits and inspections: $15
• Safety equipment and signage: $65
• Tools hire and delivery: $100
