Let's build a playground together in Mumbai
A community-led a playground at the Unity vacant lot that will serve 524 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $650.
It will serve about 524 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $650 goes:
• Materials: $480
• Permits and inspections: $60
• Safety equipment and signage: $60
• Tools hire and delivery: $50
