Let's build a community fridge together in Kassel
A community-led a community fridge at the Maple community hall that will serve 299 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $2,250.
It will serve about 299 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,250 goes:
• Materials: $1,600
• Permits and inspections: $105
• Safety equipment and signage: $380
• Tools hire and delivery: $165
