Let's build a playground together in Feira de Santana
A community-led a playground at the Maple health centre yard that will serve 508 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $750.
It will serve about 508 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $750 goes:
• Materials: $510
• Permits and inspections: $50
• Safety equipment and signage: $105
• Tools hire and delivery: $85
