Let's build a community garden together in Gatineau

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Jacaranda bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $2,550. It will serve about 191 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
