Leonardo's final semester of a nursing degree in Barcelona
A first-generation student, Leonardo needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a nursing degree.
🇪🇸 Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain1,204 views
Leonardo is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a nursing degree at the Barcelona Institute of Technology, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $3,750.
The registrar has said Leonardo can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Leonardo has a 3.9 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Leonardo would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Leonardo isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the the Barcelona Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $3,750 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,500
• Final term tuition: $1,900
• Exam and lab fees: $175
• Textbooks and materials: $175
Glad we found this place.

Sending good thoughts, Araceli. Gave what I could, wish it was more.
Best of luck, Araceli. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Barcelona
You're not alone, Araceli. Hope this works out for you. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Take care.
