Farewell fund for Babatunde: help Festus's family in Zaria
Festus lost his brother suddenly and the family cannot cover funeral and burial costs of $300.
🇳🇬 Nigeria1,092 views
Babatunde, my brother, passed away on 24 April after a short illness. He was 53 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $300 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 9 May.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Babatunde to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank.
Where the $300 goes:
• Memorial gathering for the family: $45
• Transport of the deceased: $70
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $185
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

sending good thoughts, Festus. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Wish I lived closer to Howrah so I could bring a meal.
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Festus.
The list at the bottom is the whole picture. memorial gathering for the family is the biggest at $45. Thanks, that means a lot.
Hang in there, Festus. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My husband and I read this together
thinking of you and your family. Hope you get there. Sent it to 40 people at work. All the best.
Shared this with my family. After 24 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Thanks for sharing this, Festus. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier.
