Laparoscopic endometriosis surgery for Yanti: covering what insurance won't
After a benign brain tumor, Yanti was cleared for laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

In August I was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor. My surgeon at Denpasar Community Hospital recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for November. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $1,350, and after what our health plan will pay, I'm still $800 short.
Doctors at Denpasar Community Hospital told me a benign brain tumor will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. I work as a market vendor, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $1,350 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a market vendor have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Recovery is expected to take about 7 weeks. I'll not be able to climb stairs during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $800 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $290
• Hospital stay (4 nights): $280
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $35
• Post-operative medication: $35
• Physiotherapy sessions: $105
• Travel and lodging for the family: $55

Best of luck. Wishing Yanti a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Sent it to 9 people at work
Good luck. This could happen to any of us. It's not much but it's yours. Blessings
Wishing you the best. I hope things turn around soon. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best
Sending love. It takes guts to ask. Well done. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Greetings from Oakland
Thanks for sharing this, Yanti. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Denpasar
