Laparoscopic cyst removal for Radha: covering what insurance won't
Radha needs laparoscopic cyst removal at Pune Orthopedic Institute and the family is $450 short of the hospital's estimate.

Radha was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in June. The surgeon at Pune Orthopedic Institute recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $750, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $450 short.
my sister has been in and out of Pune Orthopedic Institute since June. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Radha struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Radha won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $450 goes:
• Hospital stay (4 nights): $195
• Post-operative medication: $35
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $80
• Travel and lodging for the family: $25
• Physiotherapy sessions: $115
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
