Keep the heating on at Kavita's home in Indore
Kavita is behind on heating bills after my partner leaving the household and needs $100 to avoid a shut-off.
🇮🇳 Madhya Pradesh, India915 views
The heating account is 3 months behind. Kavita received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless $100 is paid. She had never been late before my partner leaving the household.
Kavita called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $30 first, which isn't available.
The household includes two young children, and going through winter without heating isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by.
Kavita is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Kavita's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.
Where the $100 goes:
• Electricity arrears: $50
• Reconnection and late fees: $25
• Down payment on a payment plan: $25

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Kavita
Sure. The biggest one is electricity arrears, $50. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Fair thing to want to know.
Wishing you peace, Garima. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't be hard on yourself for asking
