Kennedy lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at Charlotte General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $4,750.
Her current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Kennedy could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.

what exactly is the $4,750 for?
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. fitting and training sessions comes first ($115) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. It helps to be asked.
