The gas account is 3 months behind. Auma received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on October unless $100 is paid. She had never been late before an unexpected car repair.
Auma called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $20 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a newborn, and going through summer without gas isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
Auma is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Auma's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.
