Keep the electricity on at Joaquim's home in Brasília
Help Joaquim cover an overdue electricity bill so the household stays safe this winter.

The electricity account is 4 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on May unless I pay $200. I have never been late before losing my job in January.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $35 first, which I don't have.
I live with two young children, and going through winter without electricity isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $200 goes:
• Water arrears: $100
• Reconnection and late fees: $45
• Down payment on a payment plan: $55
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Hang in there, Joaquim. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Irapuato
