The electricity and water account is 3 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on May unless I pay $1,050. I have never been late before an unexpected car repair.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $70 first, which I don't have.
I live with a newborn, and going through summer without electricity and water isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Tomás's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.

Small update. $78 so far, I made the first payment toward down payment on a payment plan.
Wanted to say thank you properly. 4% funded and I met with the utility company and confirmed the amounts.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($20 in total) the plan for reconnection and late fees is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
